03 The Five Steps of a Cohesive Team

Where are we going as a team?  Making the team functional and cohesive requires levels of courage and discipline that many groups cannot seem to muster alone.  We can help.

Our signature training “Five Steps of a Cohesive Team” is based on Patrick Lencioni’s leadership fable “The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team” which reveals the basics of teamwork.

With a clear goal in mind - to reach a common understanding of what it means to be a team, and make substantial progress towards becoming a more cohesive team.

We work with your team to:

  • Understand the expectations for a cohesive team

  • Understand the degree to which your team meets the expectations using the online Team Assessment

  • Take the first steps towards enhancing trust and understanding conflict styles and

  • Develop an action plan for improving teamwork

In conjunction with team sessions, we use the online, 38 question Team Assessment which provides a tangible measurement tool but more importantly, the assessment results can open the door to powerful team discussions.

Your customized report summarizes the model and reveals your team results and specific tips and exercises for improving team cohesion.

04 The Power of Your Social Network

One of the most essential factors in our success is building effective relationships.  These relationships serve many purposes, from giving encouragement to sharing wisdom.  Our current social network is a powerful and an excellent place to start identifying those who can help.  But unfortunately, most of us are not tapping into the power of our current social network to access these relationships.

What we cover

During this signature training session, participants will define seven types of effective relationships key to our success and which can guide us in decision-making and helping achieve aspirations and goals.

Participants are then challenged to think about people or groups they may want to follow by reviewing their current social network to identify potential relationships and partners.

We then move awareness into action by building an individual social network map and creating a  strategy for building effective relationships.
